Reviewed by Debbiemeh... story is very flat. Worldbuilding practically non-existent. And expressions like 24/7, genes and lactose-intolerant... just had me cringing. For me this is kinda Outlander with werewolves. A plot solely existing to write some spice. And the font size was huge in this book. Why make the book so bloated? Because else it would just be a little novella

Reviewed by Lara MiAlso wenn man auf Wölfe steht und die ganze Zeit Spice haben will, ist das das perfekte Buch. Wenn einem dann noch Logik und Worldbuilding wichtig ist, ist man hier falsch aufgehoben. Ich persönlich fand Aurora zwischendurch so nervig. Immer wieder wurde betont wie schwach sie doch ist und das sie ja immer nur eine Puppe war, um dann plötzlich komplett entgegengesetzt zu handeln. Mir fehlte etwas der logisch Aufbau in der Geschichte.

Jahreshighlight 2026✨ 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Nachdem mich das Buch „Dire Bound“ trotz der ganzen guten Rezensionen und dem riesigen Hype maßlos enttäuscht hat, hatte ich ehrlich gesagt erstmal Angst, mit The Wolf King anzufangen. Zum Glück habe ich mich nach mehreren Anläufen doch noch dazu überwunden! Ich bin SOOOOOO froh darüber 😍 Dieses Buch ist einfach soooo gut! Schon der Anfang war absoluter Wahnsinn. Ich bin nur so durch die Seiten geflogen, beziehungsweise durch die Kapitel, weil ich es als Hörbuch gehört habe. Und ganz ehrlich: Wie gut ist bitte die Sprecherin?! Wirklich 10/10! Was mich komplett überrascht hat: Die zwei männlichen Charaktere geben mir total die Vibes von Tamlin und Rhysand aus ACOTAR. Ich hätte NIE gedacht, dass ich ein anderes Buch auch nur ansatzweise damit jemals in Verbindung bringen würde; aber hier? WTF, ich hab’s einfach geliebt! Keine Sorge: Die Geschichten sind überhaupt nicht gleich oder vergleichbar. Aber sie sind beide auf ihre eigene Art extrem packend und die Protagonisten haben mich einfach daran erinnert. Und dann diese Tanzszene?! Hallo?! Ich musste sofort an The Vampire Diaries denken. Genauer gesagt an Damon Salvatore und Elena Gilbert 😍😭 Und dieses ENDE?! Aaaahrg!! Ich will einfach nur weiterlesen!! JETZT!!!!😭 Ich kann nicht anders: Ich bin sowas von Team Blake 🐺🔥🫠♥️♥️♥️♥️ Definitiv mein erstes Jahreshighlight!
