Reviewed by NadineI really enjoyed this book. It was so interesting to get this perspective on an abduction case and to slowly unravel Sally’s story and her family history - the story of a child born to an abducted girl. Every now and then, I was missing a little bit of pace, but the story was so unique and had many twists that I didn’t see coming. This book helped me get out of such a bad reading slump and for that alone, I’m very grateful!

Reviewed by jreads 📚Ich war sehr gespannt auf dieses Buch, weil der Hype so groß war. Ich muss leider sagen, dass mich die Geschichte nicht so überzeugt hat. Immer mal wieder sehr gute Passagen, aber für mich war es dann doch zu wenig durchgängig. Ich beende dieses Buch mit gemischten Gefühlen. 🤔

Die Geschichte ist ungewöhnlich, teilweise sehr düster und hat einige Wendungen, mit denen ich überhaupt nicht gerechnet habe. Besonders Sally als Hauptfigur fand ich unglaublich spannend und einzigartig. Die Plots waren richtig stark und die Geschichte hat mich immer wieder überrascht. Auch das Ende hat mir sehr gefallen, gerade weil es nicht einfach alles abschliesst, sondern einen noch eine Weile darüber nachdenken lässt. Ein aussergewöhnliches, spannendes und gleichzeitig emotionales Buch, das definitiv hängen bleibt. ⭐ 4.75/5 Sterne
Reviewed by JuleSally ist eine sehr liebenswerte Protagonistin, sie hat mich sehr berührt und zum Nachdenken gebracht. Das Buch ist kein klassischer Thriller, sondern viel mehr ein Roman über generationsübergreifendes Trauma und den jeweiligen Umgang oder auch nicht-Umgang damit. Es gab Szenen, die mich wirklich bewegt und auch verstört haben. Das Ende fand ich etwas zu schnell erzählt aber insgesamt realistisch und tragisch. Das Buch hat mich zum Lachen und auch zum Weinen gebracht. Ich werde noch lange an Sally denken.
