Reviewed by GabrielePerhaps a three star rating is a bit harsh, but the plot is also important and unfortunately it doesn't carry here. Characters like Azlin Rell and (yes) Geode are fascinating and quirky, the development that Reath Silas has gone through is nicely summed up by Claudia Gray, but that doesn't help the very thin story. Also annoying is flat fanservice like Kelnacca (could have been anyone, zero personality) Overall an acceptable book, due to the partly good character sketches, but it's just not really enough for four or possibly five stars, sorry.
