Reviewed by JanahnkUnfortunately, the third installment of the series declined significantly for me. Isla had already gotten on my nerves in the first two books at times with her naivety and her inability to have sensible conversations in order to obtain information, but this took it to the next level. On top of that, her “divided heart” is something I can hardly understand anymore and now just find annoying. Additionally, the book felt far too chaotic and confusing, and at times illogical. Some elements seemed contrived and far-fetched. I was also bothered by the writing style, especially because scenes often felt as if they ended very abruptly, which disrupted my reading flow. If I hadn’t enjoyed the first two volumes so much, I might not continue the series. Nevertheless, I am still curious to see what will happen in the Otherworld.
