I adored that book. I‘ve never read a viking book before but damn this book was so good idk if i should read the second book but omg i loved it. Fiske and Eelyn were such good characters. Their enemies to lovers thing was too good you really noticed the change from enemies to lovers. It‘s an fast paced book so it‘s good to read when you‘re in a reading slump it definetely pulled me out of mine i couldn‘t lay the book out of my hands. Now to the Story. At first i was confused who all the characters were but with time i got used to them. The storyline was great and also the worldbuilding was good i could follow every single step of that book. I read that book and at the same time a movie played in my head. I literally could imagine what i‘m reading rn. I also didn‘t know that there was the „who did this to you trope“ and the „one bed“ trope and it was so good. You can easily fall in move with the characters they are so well written. I loved Myra she is a great friend i really wish i had a friend like her. I hated Iri throughout the book till the end it got a little better but i still don’t like him bc of what he did to Eelyn and her father and her whole clansmen. Halvard is the cutest little warrior boy i read about and the ending was just so good. Inge was at first my hate character bc of how she treated Eelyn but now i love her. She’s such a good mother. But i still hate Gyda and SPOILER⚠️the man who tied her to the trees to leave her to death⚠️ And i also hated the Tala for that that she didn‘t help Eelyn as she stopd there in the woods watching her. But then Fiske came rescuing her ofc. I loved Fiske the way he was was just addicting he was at first very rough and rude to Eelyn but as soon as he knew what he felt for her he became weak and we got to see his soft side. All in all i really loved this book and that‘s all i can and will say about it. 5/5⭐️ obviously definetely recommend this book GO READ IT BESTIE
