This book and the techniques explained were eye opening to me especially for really understanding diverse conflicts I had with friend, colleagues or my partner. In hindsight I now understand see things differently. Truly hearing the needs and pain of the other is so difficult, but after reading this book I am hopeful and want to get better at listening and expressing my own needs. The area that intrigued me were: -Distinguishing observation from evaluation -The pain of not expressing our needs -Request vs Demands -Cultivating awareness of the energy behind our action The techniques explain for NVC are not easy to apply but it is smth I want to adopt and learn so I can navigate conflicts better. The structure of the book is created in small chapters, has exercises and examples that showcase each situation of conflict.
