Reviewed by SteffiWohlfühlen-Ambiente mit Spice „Nanny for the Neighbors“ ist der dritte, unabhängig lesbare Band der Why Choose-Reihe von Lily Gold – und konnte mich begeistern! Die Protagonistin war mir von Anfang an super sympathisch. Sie ist süß und ein Charakter zum einfach gern haben, aber auch ihre Entwicklung ist toll zu lesen. Ich habe es geliebt, wie sie sich um andere kümmert, welche Gedanken sie hat, aber auch, wie sie über ihre eigenen Ängste hinaus wächst. Auch der Aspekt mit dem Babysitten und die Dynamik mit den drei Männern haben mir total gut gefallen. Jeder von ihnen bringt seinen ganz eigenen Charakter und seine eigene Art mit Situationen umzugehen mit – sie passen als Gruppe unglaublich gut zusammen und ergänzen sich perfekt. Das Kennenlernen, die romantischen Momente und die Entwicklung der Beziehungen waren einfach schön zu lesen. Natürlich kommen auch einige Spice-Szenen vor, die bildhaft und gut beschrieben sind. Der Spice gehört definitiv zum Charakter des Buches und sollte vermutlich auch einer der Gründe sein, weshalb man zu diesem Buch greift. Trotzdem nimmt er für mich nicht den größten Teil der Geschichte ein. Vielmehr ergänzen sich emotionale und humorvolle Momente, Romance, Spice und Wohlfühlatmosphäre zu einer gelungenen Mischung. Neben Romance und Spice greift das Buch auch ernstere Themen auf, die für einige emotionale und nachdenkliche Momente sorgen. Diese werden angenehm in die Geschichte eingebaut, sodass man weder das Gefühl hat, dass sie umgangen werden noch dass der Wohlfühlfaktor verloren geht. Ich habe es geliebt, die verschiedenen Situationen gemeinsam mit den Charakteren zu erleben und immer mehr in ihre Dynamik hineinzufinden. Der Schreibstil ist angenehm, leicht und flüssig, sodass sich das Buch wunderbar lesen lässt. Für mich ist Nanny for the Neighbors vielleicht kein absolutes Must-Read, aber definitiv eine Empfehlung für alle, die Lust auf eine süße, romantische Reverse-Harem-/Why-Choose-Geschichte mit Wohlfühlfaktor, Emotionen, Familienmomenten, Humor und einer guten Portion Spice haben.
Reviewed by sophiaIch fand das Buch nicht wirklich gut die Liebesgeschichte war sehr oberflächlich. Es war auch ganz ganz komisch, dass er sich so in sie verliebt hat, nachdem er sie nur am Eingang gesehen hat und das dann alles so super ist und alle sich so gern haben und alles so gut klappt und sie die einzige ist die das Baby beruhigen kann. War alles sehen klischeehaft.

The sweetest chaotically hilarious rom com with three helpless single dads and a nanny. And lots of spice. I love myself a good single dad. Three of them? A business man, a stripper and a tec guy? Count me in! If I had read this one first, I probably would have adored this. But compared to Triple-Duty Bodyguard and Faking with Benefits…. it’s the one I liked the least. Which does not in any way say it’s bad. I just struggled a bit more to get into the story and really connect to the three guys. But I still devoured this book I a few hours and had a fun time! And I also fucking cried too much. And I can’t even blame my period on that one. And in true Lily Gold style - immaculate spice scenes. This woman just knows how to write it. Give it a go if you like rom coms and overwhelmed newly single dads and their nanny.
