Reviewed by ZwitschiAs always, the characters are fascinating, and the story is captivating. Even though Tehol only appears in the first half of the book, he remains one of my favorite characters. What I really like is the new army from Letheras under Brys' command. Initially, the ghost's story felt a little confusing, but once everything became clear, it was a really nice addition. This book is the first of a two-part series, so it doesn't have a definitive ending and ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Luckily, the second part is already available, so I can continue reading and can't wait to see what happens.
