Rezension von Alisha SchulzWhat an awesome, inimitable book. I have never read so many beautiful words in a row, in a sentence, in chapters. It's simply unbelievable what this novel did. It was cruel and it was hurting and beating you and still all the words seduced you to go on reading. But apart from the epicness of all words used and metaphors found, we met Astrid and Ingrid, both utterly human and flawed, one crueler than the other. Most of the time I was afraid of Ingrid but somehow, like Astrid, I loved her and fall under her spell and hated her too, all at the same time. I can't put into words, nonetheless, how proud I am of Astrid, my dear girl. Proud of her development, not only her survival but her achievements. This book is coming of age at its best. I still can't find the right words. I recommend the book to everyone. Read t it, and if you don't like the topics, read it for the language. (I will rewrite the review when my mind is less blown away.)
