Well-paced. Shocking twist. Cadence has a hard time remembering the events of an accident that caused her migraines and amnesia. She returns to their family's summer island. Together with her friends, the Liars, she finally pieces the clues together to find out the whole story. Setting: It was nice how Lockhart created this whole island of it's own where she doesn't have to think about other characters or places for convenience. Characters: Mirren was by far my fave. Moody sweet girl. Characterization of Grandpa wasn't fleshed out as well. It felt more focused on the love story. Story: Back stories weren't fleshed out as much to really bring the shocking twist to a climax as great. It was good enough. Written smoothly that you weren't tempted to put the book down. I just didn't like how other lines just sounded so cliche. Other lines were thrown out and it's like the ball fell and was forgotten. It's like throwing out an idea and not completely sticking it in the story.
