Rezension von Julia Grace(SPOILER ALERT) Sooooo… this story was SO good! The tension was already there from the very first chapter, and the chemistry between Ava and Alex made their dynamic incredibly entertaining to read. And their FIRST KISS?! OMG. I was genuinely speechless. I also loved the storyline, especially the mystery, the secrets, and the revelations surrounding Ava’s past. Those elements added so much suspense and made me want to keep reading. One of the most memorable scenes was Alex confronting and defeating his uncle. It was both legendary and heartbreaking, and I genuinely felt sorry for both Ava and Alex in that moment. Of course, Alex Volkov is an absolute aura farmer. Some of his lines are simply unforgettable, many of them living live rent-free in my head. His personality and the way he carries himself make him such an iconic character. That being said, looking back on certain scenes, I have to admit that a few of them feel a little cringeworthy in retrospect. Nevertheless, that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall story and its twists. I did feel frustrated when Alex was doing everything he could to win Ava back while she seemed unwilling to understand him. Still, seeing them find their way back to each other made me genuinely happy. Their story had me invested from beginning to end, and despite a few questionable moments, I absolutely loved the ride!
