Twilight
von Stephenie Meyer
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn.Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife-between desire and danger.Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Call me cringe, but I will always love twilight. It brought back my passion for reading when I was a teen.
I know this isn’t the best written book out there. The writing is a bit messy, the characters aren’t very deep, and the romance is kind of crazy. But somehow, that doesn’t matter. It’s full of nostalgia and comfort, and that’s why it stays at a solid 4.75 stars. Sixteen years later and I’m still giggling and kicking my feet like it’s the first time.
In my opinion, the book was a very quick read and a exciting journey. But language wise not quite as easy as other teen romances (I am a native german speaker). Meyer used very big descriptive words that weren‘t really necessary. I didn’t really like the protagonist but I think thats a personal problem :). All in all I enjoyed the book but I wouldn’t say it is my favorite nor that I would read it again.
Only for Antonio and Karo.
