Rezension von KalypsoEs ging eigentlich nicht um den verschwundenen Millionär, sondern um Aza's Angststörung. Aber diese wurde sehr einfühlsam und berührend geschildert, ich konnte mich sehr gut in Aza hineinversetzen und sie verstehen.
Rezension von Eileen Dierner This book was exhausting, but in a good way. Being in Aza's head was exhausting, but since she has a mental illness, it has to be exhausting. <br/>Like a typical John Green book, it was highly philosophical, especially in the last chapters.

Rezension von Charlotte ReuschThis book was often recommended to me. People said that I would love it and what can I say? They were right! This book feels a little bit different from any other book I have read. I think, I'm gonna catch myself thinking back to it a lot. I absolutely fell in love with Davis and kept thinking about the mystery in the book. It was poetic and very deep - nothing light, I suppose. Still, it was very easy to read. The characters are lovable, but appear to be realistic. I kinda feel like this book didn't have an end ( in a good way!) and I think, Ava would love that. It's turtles all the way down after all...

Ich war sehr gespannt auf dieses Buch und obwohl ich es schon lange in meinem Schrank stehen hatte, bin ich erst jetzt dazu gekommen, es zu lesen. Dieses Buch habe ich anders empfunden, als die anderen Werke von Green. Sei es deshalb, weil ich mich mit der Hauptfigur extrem (!) identifizieren konnte, oder weil das Buch allgemein einfach so sehr in eine philosophische Richtung gegangen ist, wie keins seiner Vorgänger. Gute Nacht ihr fiesen Gedanken - der deutsche Titel, wie immer, mehr als gewöhnungsbedürftig - beschreibt sehr sehr gut und genau, wie es ist, mit einer psychischen Störung zu leben. Ich habe keine generalisierte Angststörung kenne aber trotzdem das Gefühl, dass man merkt, man verhält sich falsch, es aber nicht aufhalten kann und sich dabei so wehrlos fühlt. Ich habe schon viele Bücher mit ähnlichen Thematiken gelesen, aber keines war so unfassbar "on point" Wie dieses. Auch schafft es Green mal wieder eine Liebesgeschichte zu erzählen, bei der ich nicht das Gefühl habe, bei jedem zweiten Satz die Augen verdrehen zu müssen, weil der Fluff einem aus den Ohren rausläuft. Deshalb lese ich seine Bücher auch so gerne, die Romanzen und allgemein auch die Darstellung von Freundschaft und Familie usw. Fühlt sich immer echt und nie gekünstelt an. Da sei auch nochmal die Freundschaft zwischen Aza und Daisy erwähnt, die sich trotz ihrer vielen Fehler und Unstimmigkeiten sehr sehr echt und gut angefühlt hat beim Lesen. Das Ende war wunderschön und mir hat es tatsächlich auch sehr gefallen, dass der vermutliche Hauptplot eher gemächlich im Hintergrund ablief und sich das ganze Buch viel mehr mit Azas Innenleben beschäftigt hat. Dieses Buch kann ich absolut weiterempfehlen. Daher volle Punktzahl von mir.
