Rezension von Raphaela Als Simon 10 Jahre alt war, verschwand seine kleine Schwester während eines Museumbesuchs spurlos. Seine Mutter gab ihm die Schuld und auch Luke selbst konnte sich nie verzeihen. Jetzt ist Luke erwachsen, Paleontologe und als eine Stelle in dem Museum frei wird, in dem seine Schwester verschwand, nimmt er an. Zumal er nach einer Trennung und in Zeiten der Pandemie auch nicht wählerisch bei seinem neuen Job sein kann. Doch schon bald merkt er, dass der Job ihm mehr abverlangt, als er zuerst gedacht hat. Das Museum ist marode und kurz vor dem Bankrott auch schon vor der Pandemie. Und dann sind da noch die Geräusche sobald es dunkel wird, vor denen der Hausmeister Simon schon am ersten Tag gewarnt hart. Damals hielt Simon es für einen Witz, doch je länger er im Keller des Museums arbeitet, desto mehr wird ihm klar, dass der alte Mann es ernst gemeint hatte, toternst. "Nachts im Museum" trifft auf Crime Spannende Mischung, auch wenn die die Ausgangslage mittlerweile etwas abgelutscht ist. Der verschwundene Geschwisterteil ist mittlerweile schon fast ein Klischee in der Hintergrundgeschichte von Charakteren. Die ersten zwei Drittel des Buches sind einfach nur spannend. Ok zumindest wenn man sich für Dino- und Paleontologie Trivia interessiert, sonst könnte man es etwas überfrachtet finden. Im letzten Drittel wenn es um die Auflösung des großen Rätsels geht, flacht das ganze etwas ab und es nimmt der Story ein klein wenig den Zauber. Unterm Strich bleibt es gute Unterhaltung, wenn auch leider kein Highlight.
Rezension von Mrs MoriartyDAS hat einfach so extrem viel Spaß gemacht! Ich bin immer noch ganz aufgeregt, weil das Buch so ein Highlight für mich war *g* Obwohl der Mordfall selbst im ersten Moment eher durchschnittlich ist, hat der Autor meiner Meinung nach einfach jede Menge neue Ideen verknüpft. Der starke Fokus auf die wissenschaftliche Komponente - es geht vor allem zu Beginn auch viel um Dinosaurier Knochen, die Arbeit in einem Museum usw. - auf der einen Seite, aber auch der Frage, ob Simon langsam aber sicher den Verstand verliert oder doch vielleicht paranormale Aktivitäten mit eine Rolle spielen. Es war einfach mal was anderes und das hat mich super unterhalten. Trotzdem sollte man denke ich mal, offen dafür sein, das es ein ziemlicher Genresmix ist und vielleicht ist das manchen dann zu wild^^ Ich denke ich hatte den Vorteil, das ich mich einfach auf die Handlung eingelassen habe, ohne großes Vorwissen zu haben. Für mich war es eine wilde Mischung aus Nachts im Museum meets Jurassic Park mit Geistern^^
