I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that this might have been the best book I ever read. I ate this up and read my way through it like never before. I just couldn’t put it down and if I didn’t have to go to work, I would have finished this even quicker. Probably the most intense, atmospheric and captivating reading experience I’ve ever had. I was walking with them. And King managed to get all the emotions across perfectly. Going into this, I didn’t expect this to resonate on an emotional level as much as it did. This was fucking harrowing and unbelievably sad and tragic. Ever since I started reading, there wasn’t an hour an hour that I didn’t think about it. Every time I had to walk a bit, I thought about how I’d perform. This book owned me for the last couple of days. So yeah, this might be my new favorite book. I can only hope that the upcoming film adaptation won’t suck…
