Toller, verträumter Schreibstil, tragische und gleichzeitig romantische Geschichte der Protagonistin. Ein toller easy read und mal ganz angenehm, dass es ein Einteiler ist. ♥️
this ending had me sobbing. literally.
**You might find some soft spoilers if you read further! :)** The start of the story was slow. I can tell you for certain that after the first 100 pages, the story definitely picked up a bit of momentum. I thoroughly enjoyed the opening of the story, particularly the time setting in the past. The reader gains an insight into Addie's earlier life and is taken on an interesting, but also often sad, journey. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline of the book. It offered an intriguing and unique perspective, unlike anything I've read before. The last chapters were hasty compared to the first 100. I want to know more about the romance between Luc and Addie. Their romance chapters felt cramped and outdated. We learn in 2-3 chapters what happened between the two, but also that it was rather short and less romantic, while other characters come away more intensively with their romances. But maybe it's just a feeling I had. Henry is undoubtedly the most memorable character. He is not my favourite character, but his storyline is universally appealing. We can all relate to his depression and his feelings. Everyone has felt useless, unloved and worthless at least once. Luc on the other hand lacked depth; I wanted to know more about him and his perspective. I am not able to say with certainty whether I liked the FMC (Addie) or not. At times, I had difficulty relating to her, but this was only from my point of view.
Beautiful story. Definitely can see the similarities in this with bones but also a little sweeter/romantic. I love books that make you think! I be a Thinker‼️
Beendet: 3/5 ⭐️ Okay, ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich dieses Buch jemals beenden werde, weil ich schon über 2 Monate an dem gelesen habe, aber I did It
