von Freida McFadden

Format:Hardcover

A #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Casey's cabin in the wilderness is not built for a hurricane. She's young. She's alone. And she's covered in blood. The girl won't explain where she came from, or loosen her grip on the knife in her right hand. And when Casey makes a disturbing discovery in the middle of the night, things take a turn for the worse. The girl has a dark secret. One she'll kill to keep. And if Casey gets too close to the truth, she may not live to see the morning.

McFadden wie man sie kennt. Immer wenn man denkt, man hätte die Geschichte durchschaut, kommt es ganz anders. Gut durchdachte Story, viele Momente, wo man den Atem anhält und man kann es einfach nicht weglegen.

I really love Freida McFadden’s writing style. It’s easy, understandable, and just so addictive. The Intruder definitely wasn’t her best book, but it still had me HOOKED. Before reading it, I saw a lot of reviews saying it was too predictable, and at the beginning I was honestly confused by that because I didn’t really see it yet. But after a while, the puzzle pieces slowly started coming together and I realized what was happening way before the actual plot twist. Even so, it didn’t ruin the experience for me at all. I read this book at night, and some parts genuinely gave me chills. Like not full-on horror, but that creepy, uneasy feeling where you’re a little more aware of every sound around you. Some scenes were kinda scary in that quiet, psychological way, which I really liked. So yeah, it’s not her strongest book, but I still really enjoyed it. It was fast, tense, and entertaining, and sometimes that’s exactly what I want from a thriller. Definitely worth the read if you’re a Freida McFadden fan 🖤✨
