I went to bed early to continue reading this thriller, to dive deep into the Adirondack NationalPark with all its secrets and mysteries. I enjoyed the different perspectives, each adding their own discoveries and detours and psychological detections. The different timelines on the other hand were sometimes tedious especially regarding Alice - mostly because they felt like stalling. And because they painted a rather black and white picture of the upper class. The book really hates rich people, not the system that makes them rich, but the people. And therefore felt like a gossipy piece about moneybags. But Judytha and Louise are interesting enough characters to keep you reading through the night, keep you coming bag for the silence-of-the-lambs-vibe and the Gatsby meets nature writing atmosphere.
