The story explores themes of parental neglect, self-worth, and the belief that being successful is the only way to deserve love and recognition. These themes are handled with kindness and empathy, making the emotional journey feel genuine and relatable. It was also wonderful to revisit characters from the first book and see where life has taken them. Those familiar faces add an extra layer of warmth and make the world feel lived in and connected. The only aspect I missed was a stronger focus on the fantasy world. While dragons are still part of the story, the emphasis lies much more on character development and relationships than on expanding the magical setting introduced in the first book. Baby Dragon Bakery is a charming, heartfelt romance with wonderful characters and a cosy atmosphere. While I would have loved to spend more time exploring its magical world, it remains a delightful story about love, healing, and finding your place among people who truly care for you. 🐉✨

Nein. Einfach nein. Zumindest nicht für mich. Dieses Buch nimmt jedes Klischee mit. Sie verliebt sich in ihren besten Freund, er sich in sie, aber natürlich reden sie nicht miteinander, obwohl es verdammt nochmal offensichtlich ist. Sie setzt sich eine völlig bescheuerte Deadline, und wenn sie die nicht schafft, wird sie einsam und allein sterben. Ich meine was zur Hölle?! Das wiederholt sie übrigens auch ständig. Dazu kommt ein völlig dummer Third-Act-Breakup, bei dem man das Gefühl bekommt, die Protagonisten wären 5 und nicht fucking 24. Miteinander reden ist ja auch völlig überbewertet. Dafür wurden sich ganze 10 Seiten Zeit genommen, danach war alles wieder Friede Freude Eierkuchen. An sich war das ganze Buch ein großes Mimimi. Die Protagonistin wirkte wahnsinnig kindisch. Abgesehen von der Storyline war der Schreibstil ganz okay. Aber was sollen denn die ganzen Ausrufezeichen!? Also nein, meins war es leider nicht. Mich hat das Buch nur wütend gemacht. Aber wenn jemand vorhersehbare Geschichten ohne großen Twist mag, was ja durchaus auch seinen Reiz haben kann, wird man hier sicher fündig. Deswegen auch die zwei Sterne, für mich selbst wäre es eigentlich nur einer.
