Rezension von nopressurebooksIch habe es als Teil 1 der Reihe gelesen. Am Anfang dachte ich, es war keine gute Idee, dieses Buch als ersten Band zu lesen. Es ging etwas langsam voran und da man weder Worldbuilding noch Charaktere gut kennt, fehlt zuerst etwas Tiefgang und Verbindung zu der Welt. Doch ca. ab der Hälfte hat es mich dann doch voll abgeholt und ich bereue es nicht, das Buch als ersten Band gelesen zu haben. Für alle, die die Geschichte in der Chronologisch richtigen Reihenfolge lesen wollen, kann ich es empfehlen. Aber wie gesagt - der Anfang war für mich trozdem etwas zäh. Genauere Meinung zum Inhalt: (Spoiler) WIe oben schon erwähnt, fand ich am Anfang nicht so gut in die Story rein. Celaena war mir zu arrogant. Aber ehrlich gesagt hat sie jedes Recht dazu - so jung schon die Beste zu sein und unter anbetracht von wem sie erzogen wurde, versteh ich es dann doch. Zunächst habe ich nur wegen Sam weitergelesen. Ich mochte ihn von Anfang an mehr als Celaena und die Dynamik zwischen den Beiden hat mich hauptsächlich weiterlesen lassen. Ca. ab der Hälfte war ich aber emotional voll drin und wollte unbedingt mehr erfahren. Arobynn habe ich von Beginn an gehasst und am Ende wurde ja auch bestätigt warum. Als Sam gestorben ist bzw. als Celaena ihn gefunden hat, habe ich geweint und jetzt kann ich es kaum erwarten, weiter in die Serie einzusteigen und mit "Throne of glass" anzufangen.

Rezension von LilouIch habe das buch nach Queen of shadows gelesen und fand das genau richtig! Die ersten 2 geschichten haben mir persönlich nicht so gefallen doch es wurde wirklich immer besser Empire ist meine lieblings und hat mich emotional zerstört😭
Rezension von LauraAuch nach dem reread bin ich sowohl am Boden zerstört als auch so hyped, die nächsten Bücher zu lesen. Ich liebe die Welt, die Figuren, die Tiefe! Hab diesmal assassins blade als erstes gelesen und find die Reihenfolge so deutlich besser!
