Rezension von FallendreamsEin Buch über magische Tiermedizin? Her damit! Die Grundidee des Buches fand ich total toll und ich mochte die Stellen sehr gerne, bei denen es um die magischen Tiere ging. In der Welt von Strange Familiars hat nicht jeder endlos Magie, sondern man muss sie sich mithilfe von Credits kaufen. Klang für mich irgendwie etwas nach Cyperpunk, weshalb ich direkt begeistert war. Percy als Familiar fand ich so cool, wobei ich den Spitznamen, welcher für Gwen hatte, total unlustig und doof fand. Allgemein kam mir Percy viel zu kurz, obwohl er in den ersten Seiten so dramatisch vorgestellt wurde. Zu den Charakteren konnte ich keine wirkliche Bindung aufbauen, da es mir zu distanziert geschrieben war. Enemies to Lovers konnte ich gefühlt auch nur von Gwens Seite aus erkennen. Finde ich sehr schade. Der Konkurrenzkampf fing zwar spannend an, hat sich jedoch schnell gelegt. Lediglich Gwen hielt an ihrer Bissigkeit fest. Gwen war eine.. sagen wir es mal so.. sehr schwierige Protagonistin für mich. Sie ging mir mit ihrem Verhalten Harrisford gegenüber irgendwann tierisch auf den Wecker. Girl, du nervst. Ihren Gedankenumschwung konnte ich somit auch nicht nachvollziehen. Außerdem mochte ich ihr dauerhaftes Selbstmitleid nicht so gerne. Ich komme mit solchen Charakteren einfach nicht so gut klar, sorry. :( Eine Sache, die selbstverletzendes Verhalten beinhaltet, stieß mir nicht gut auf. Das Thema wurde meiner Meinung nach auch nicht ausreichend behandelt. Fazit Die zwischenmenschlichen Interaktionen haben mir das Buch kaputt gemacht und ich habe mich gefühlt, als würde ich eine Draco x Hermine Fanfiktion lesen. Die Tiermedizin hingegen fand ich super und auch das Magiesystem war mal was neues. Konnte mich nicht überzeugen.
