Rezension von Raphaela Alice und Hatcher sind der alten Stadt und den Geschehnissen dort gerade entkommen und hoffen nun auf eine Pause in den grünen Wiesen von denen Pipin ihnen erzählt hat, bevor sie die Suche nach Hatchers Tochter fortsetzen. Doch was sie vorfinden, ist beinahe so schrecklich wie die Zustände in der alten Stadt. Ein verbranntes Land, das wenig Hoffnung auf eine bessere Zukunft macht und in dem sie schon schnell merken, dass auch hier draußen die Magie nicht zum Guten gebraucht wird. Der zweite Teil von Henrys Alice Neuinterpretation ist weniger blutrünstig und gewaltätig als der erste, aber nicht weniger düster und bedrückend. Ich mag den Stil der Autorin sehr und auch wenn ich das eine "Geheimnis" als sehr vorhersehbar empfand hat das Buch mich hervorragend unterhalten, selbst den romantic subplot empfand ich als angenehm (was so gut wie nieder Fall ist). Ich werde zwar wieder eine kleine Zwangspause von der Autorin einlegen - zwei ihrer Romane stehen hier noch im SuB - ändert aber nichts daran, dass sie sich im letzten Jahr langsam aber sicher in die Top 3 meiner Lieblingsautoren geschrieben hat.
Rezension von Isabel🐈⬛Das war mal mehr als enttäuschend. Ich mochte den ersten Teil auch schon nicht besonders gerne, aber das hier...? Not again, thank you. Bis ungefähr zur Hälfte war es einfach unglaublich langweilig und hätte ich nicht ca. 100 Seiten überflogen, hätte ich das Buch schon auf Seite 73 abgebrochen... Selbst am Ende, als es wenigstens ein bisschen interessanter wurde blieb so viel offen. Die wichtigsten Fragen wurden nicht aufgeklärt und auch hier war der "Endkampf" abgrundtief unspektakulär. Dieses Buch hat absolut keinen Spaß gemacht zu lesen und ich habe auch noch den dritten Teil zu Hause

The book has about 330 pages and it feels like during the whole book nothing really happens. Like Alice is just almost every time in a tunnel and has thoughts. Wow. Waste of time to read this.
Rezension von lauraIch weiß gerade noch nicht, was ich sagen soll, aber ich kann nicht glauben, dass die Abenteuer von Hatcher und Alice schon zu Ende sind. Und was für ein wunderbarer Abschluss! Mein Herz war in keinster Art und Weise bereit dafür. Auch wenn es für mich lange nicht mit dem ersten Teil mithalten konnte, so war es doch wieder eine einzigartige Erfahrung, dieses Buch zu lesen. Ich gehe voll Liebe in den Tag.❣
