4.25/5 ⭐️ “I poisoned you. Don’t worry. It was a small enough dose. You’ll live” “The cups of wine,” he says. “But how did you know which one I would choose?” “I didn’t” I tell him, “i poisoned them both” JUDE DUARTE OH MY GOD
This was a nice read. I liked Jude as the narrator, the story telling and the world building with the explanations was so good!! I was expecting more romance, however the focus of the book is more on the politics, so if that doesn’t bother you, you’ll like it a lot! Still, I can’t really see why it got all the hype by so many people, especially on booktok, saying it was the best fantasy-romance novel ever. Having that in mind, I was a bit disappointed while reading, so maybe don’t let yourself be influenced by that too much. In general I think this is a good book, just nothing mind blowing. 3,5/5 ⭐️
