Rezension von KatesBooklightsNach dem Film wollte ich nun auch die literarische Vorlage zur Geschichte lesen. Und obwohl ich wahrlich nicht erwartet hatte, dass ich von der Handlung noch groß überrascht worden wäre, war ich vom Buch doch etwas enttäuscht. Die Aufteilung der Perspektiven hat den Anfang und das Ende für mich leider weniger spannend gemacht. Generell konnte ich Marion als Erzählerin aber auch einfach nicht besonders leiden. Sie hat es einfach nicht geschafft, die Ereignisse so zu erzählen, dass ich mich wirklich hineinversetzen hätte können. Das Tagebuch hat mir an der Stelle viel mehr Emotionen gegeben. Das ist also eine der wenigen Möglichkeiten, wo ich sagen würde: Der Film ist besser. Und das liegt nicht an meiner Harry Styles Liebe, sondern daran, dass Marion im Film für mich viel zugänglicher war. So habe ich nie ganz in die Geschichte gefunden.
