Rezension von Dr Malini BhatMixed Signals has that familiar B.K. Borison coziness—small-town charm, gentle moments, and emotionally layered characters. The vibe is comforting, almost like a warm blanket. That said, it felt a bit too lengthy for my reading mood. While the story was exciting enough to keep me going, there were noticeable stretches where it slowed down. Halfway through, I honestly didn’t feel motivated to finish it—not because it was bad, but because I wasn’t emotionally invested at that point. I still pushed through and, in the end, appreciated certain moments. The romance unfolds slowly, leaning heavily into miscommunication and emotional hesitation, which fits the title well. If you enjoy slow-burn, cozy small-town romances, this might work better for you. For me, it was very much a right book, wrong time read.
