Z deserves two books. His story focuses so much on his trauma and the very real problems he gets of them, but it suddenly skips a whole year(!) when it comes to his healing process. His trauma is just suddenly gone, as if it never happened. Trauma simply doesn't work that way, especially if he had that shit over 100 years. His character didn't feel consistent. First, he's someone who revels in violence, then he gets all self-hating, and in the end he's a shy giant. I personally like his initial edge. I liked that he wasn't that tall (relative to the other guys). Z was interesting and suddenly got all mushy. I mean, I still like him, but I feel like the trauma was handled well in the beginning, but the depiction got progressively worse. Bella was meh. She's likeable but she and her "he doesn't love me because he wants me away from him" doesn't fit with the rest of the book. Bella is supposed to be confident. Yes, she goes through trauma (which doesn't seem to matter much), but the way Z talked and interacted with Bella before the whole "leave me alone" act made plenty sure that he actually cares for and loves her. Her being pissed about Z's behavior didn't last long either. Phury was... well, I really hate him by now with the way he always thinks the worst of his twin when he shouldn't have any reason to. He trust shitty rumors more than the century he spent with him. Wth? But I still liked the story as a whole. Maybe I'm too forgiving because I like the writing style and I have crushes on Butch, Raghe and V. Idk Lastly, I sincerely hope those brand and music titles mentioning stops. It doesn't fit and doesn't matter
