It's Not Summer Without You (Summer, #2)

von Jenny Han

Format:Hardcover

Now an Original Series on Prime Video!Belly finds out what comes after falling in love in this follow-up to The Summer I Turned Pretty from the New York Times bestselling author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (now a major motion picture!), Jenny Han.It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come. But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started—at Cousins Beach.

It was quite sweet, but I think it's a shame that more happens in the first two seasons of the series than in the books. Still, a nice book for the summer.

What the actual f was this?? Idek what I felt reading this. It was a damn rollercoaster…. The only constant feeling was my hatred for Belly. I got a little, just the tiniest bit softer for Conrad. And Jere?!?! Oh my heart hurts for him. Watching Belly be literally breathing because of Conrad’s existence, must have been so painful, next to all the other shit going on. And by shit going on I mean the most painful thing about this book (next to how awful Belly treats her mother, Laurel my queen), Susannah’s death. Like what in the actual hell do you mean she’s dead on page two?! What the heck?!!?!?! I balled my eyes out everytime Susannah and Laurel were mentioned because omg did it hurt! The scene where they were getting ready for dancing?!?! I was in PAIN. Laurel will never live that again, her sister is gone. I’m torturing myself atp. I gotta stop. Bye.
