Rezension von HelenDidn’t do it for me, sadly. Sure, the grief parts were emotional and well done, I’ll give the book that. But everything else? Meh. First of all: HE’S ENGAGED. (I mean, it was on the blurb, so I really should’ve known better…my bad.) BUT STILL. The fact that it went that far — literally up to the freaking altar?? And all while he’s clearly in love with another man?? Sir, please. If your heart is somewhere else, maybe don’t almost marry this woman?? That poor girl did not sign up for this love triangle trauma. You don’t get points for being “torn” when you’re the one stringing people along. Don’t be a coward and a heartbreaker. Also? The pacing was off, and I was honestly kind of bored for most of the book. It just dragged. So yeah. Not a total disaster, but definitely a middle-of-the-road kind of read for me.
