Shuichi Sindou is determined to be a rock star even though he has no experience, no talent, and no band. After finding a charismatic guitarist and getting a gig, he's ready to show the world what a genius he is. After harsh criticism from Eiri Yuki, he forces himself into Eiri's life. Shuichi learns that Eiri is already engaged, but so is the Bad Luck Band. As their debut date nears, Shuichi toys with the idea of declaring his love for Eiri onstage. But the leader of a rival band, ASK, threatens to expose Shuichi's secret. The pressure mounts as ASK's popularity wanes just as the Bad Luck Band becomes a rising sensation. Then, unexpectedly, Eiri heads for New York. Hiro talks Tatsuha into dressing up like Eiri, and Shuichi gets carried away on stage with the costumed Tatsuha.
