Ich liebe einfach die Schreibweise von Penelope Douglas (in Originalsprache) Man fängt an zu lesen und ist sofort in der Welt drin. Man kann sich alles vorstellen: die Atmosphäre, die Temperaturen, sogar wie die Luft riecht und das ohne das diese überhaupt explizit beschrieben wird. Vielfältige Charaktere die viele Fragwürdige Entscheidungen treffen und dennoch alle irgendwie sympathisch sind. Und eine Sache die jedes Buch von dieser Autorin schafft - eine Liebe, die jeder normalerweise eklig, komisch oder abstoßend finden würde, und trotzdem liest man die Geschichte und irgendwie fühlt sich die Liebe richtig an (wobei ich sagen muss dass das bei diesem Buch erst sehr spät der Fall war) Was ich so schade finde ist, das ich nur negative Kommentare lese, die ich null nachvollziehen kann. Also wenn man kritisieren würde, dass es zu viel S€x ist oder man sich nicht in die Protagonistin hineinversetzen konnte, würde ich sagen ja, das ist Kritik die man dem Buch durchaus geben kann. Aber wenn ich lese, dass das Buch ständig mit Credence verglichen wird und das Five Brothers zu langatmig war, kann ich mir nur an den Kopf fassen. Credence und Five Brothers sind quasi genau gleich langatmig. Und das braucht es auch! In beiden Büchern wird so eine bizarre Liebesgeschichte erzählt und das an einem so außergewöhnlichen Ort, dass jede Seite weniger ein downgrade wäre. Man braucht diese Länge um die Menschen und die Mentalität zu verstehen. Außerdem sind die Charaktere so tiefgründig - das kann man nicht auf drei Seiten abspecken. Und ein Kritikpunkt den ich am wenigsten verstehe, ist wenn gesagt wird das Five Brothers flach ist. DIESES BUCH BEHANDELT MENTALE KRANKHEITEN, SCHWIERIGE FAMILIEN STRUKTUREN UND TRAUMATAS Wie kann dieses Buch als flach bezeichnet werden 😭 ja es is viel smut und auch gewöhnungsbedürftiger smut Aber es is NICHT FLACH Naja alles in allem sehr unterhaltend, witzig, schockierend, spicy und außergewöhnlich. Das einzige was mich persönlich gestört hat, war das die Gefühle mir teilweise zu wenig nachvollziehbar waren :)
Hat mich leider überhaupt nicht abgeholt. Ein Stern ist für mich noch zu viel… Schade ☹️
