"I love you."
"Eleanor & Park" is one of the most beautiful storys I've read in a long time. If you're here because you're not sure if you should read this book I'm not sure if this will be the right review to read cause I'm such a big Rainbow Rowell Fan and I would tell you to read every one of her books. But this one is probably my most favorite of her. - Eleanor first seems to be one of those typical depressive girls who come to the boys new school and turn his life upside down. But the more you get to know her and the more you understand her you realize that she is a way more complex person and has a lot of reasons to act how she does. She has a lot of problems with her new stepdad who already kicked her out once. When her mom takes her back home after a year nothing has changed and her stepdad is still hating on her. Park on the other side is the best example of the perfect happy family. At least on the outside. Already from the beginning the reader can notice that he somehow hasn't found his role in his own life. When he meets Eleanor and gets to know her somehow gets to know himself also better. He finds himself and so does Eleanor. - I absolutely adore the writing of Rainbow Rowell. Even tho the story might not even be that creative or new she gets the reader to enjoy the story from the first page until the end. Those fast changes in the perspectives of Eleanor and Park make all those beautiful scenes even better cause you find out how both of them think about those situations. And the more you read of the book the more you notice that get and think more and more the same way. -
