Rezension von JennyLoved it! :) Teilweise hart zu lesen, was sie durchmachen musste. Aber umso inspirierender, wie sie ihren Weg bahnt. Und so toll geschrieben. Viele universelle Learnings. Zeigt, wie Bildung uns die Freiheit schenkt uns selbst zu sein/verwirklichen. Und wie hart das gleichzeitig ist.

Rezension von Carrie Dionidoi found myself contemplating a lot while reading this and had to remind myself that it actually happened in real life. Tara’s story is insanely mind-blowing. i often had to stop and search the events to see if they were actually true, and they were! many of the detailed scenarios were so brutal that i couldnt fully grasp them on the first read. sometimes i had to go over passages twice, or even more, to let them sink in. ultimately, the story is inspiring. learning to unlearn everything you were raised to believe as a child. the courage it took for her to share this story is beyond me. my only regret is not reading this immediately after i purchased the book three years ago.
