Rezension von Simon D.Wie erwartet und erhofft, hat mich der zweite Band dieser unglaublich guten und packenden Weltraum-Saga erneut gefesselt und begeistert. Zugegeben: Auch wenn ich kein SciFi-Experte bin, wage ich zu behaupten, dass einige Bestandteile (altbekannte soziale und politische Probleme der in den Weltraum expandierten menschlichen Zivilisation(en), Kontakt mit Aliens und deren Geschichte(n) und Sprache(n), Herausforderungen des interstellaren Reisens, Kämpfens, ja: Seins, ...) des Plots keine Neuerfindungen für dieses Genre darstellen. Gleichwohl hat der Autor hier erneut große Kreativität für die Entwicklung der Geschichte und viel Einfühlungsvermögen für seine Figuren bewiesen, sodass die gefühlten klassischen Elemente in neuem Glanz erstrahlen und einen das erzählte Universum trotz seiner erheblichen Nachteile immer mehr ans Herz wächst. Ich habe richtig mitgefiebert - und das nun nach zwei Bänden über insgesamt mehr als tausend Seiten. Wer Science Fiction mag, die sich aus einem durchdacht ersonnenen Universum, hochwertiger Action, spannenden Hintergrund- bzw. Nebenerzählungen und in jeder Hinsicht attraktiven Figuren zusammensetzt, ist hier genau richtig. Ich warte sehnlichst auf Band drei! (PS: Gelesen habe ich die deutsche Erstausgabe von Heyne, die sich hier zumindest hinsichtlich des Covers nicht finden lässt.)
