Kai I’m a single dad and starting pitcher for Chicago’s MLB team. I’m stretched too thin, but I don’t want help raising my son. Each of his previous nannies only lasted a few weeks before I let them go. Now, my coach is putting his foot down by hiring the one person I can’t fire—his daughter. Miller Montgomery is the last woman I should fall for. Too wild, too young, and too unattached. Chicago is just a quick stop for her. I thought I’d be counting down the days until she left, but summer feels too short when I start thinking about forever. Miller As a high-end pastry chef who recently won the most prestigious award in my industry, I’m desperate to prove I deserve it. But with a new title comes new pressure, and I can’t create a fresh and inspiring dessert to save my life. With only two months to get back on track, I should be focusing in the kitchen, but instead, I let my dad talk me into using my time off to nanny for his star player’s kid. Kai Rhodes forgot how to have fun, and I’m eager to jog his memory. But when he and his son start to feel like home, I have to remind us both that my time in Chicago ends with the summer. Besides, I’ve always been a runner, and the last thing I want is to get caught.

📖 Caught Up by Liz Tomforde ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I honestly didn’t expect to fall this hard for a single dad romance, but Caught Up completely won me over. The story follows Kai, a professional baseball player and devoted single dad, whose life gets turned upside down when Miller unexpectedly becomes part of his and his son Max’s daily routine. Watching the three of them slowly become a little family was easily my favorite part of the book. Kai is an absolute dream of a man. He’s caring, patient, and such an amazing father that I couldn’t help but swoon over him. I can’t even count how many times I caught myself smiling or giggling because of the adorable moments between Kai, Max, and Miller. Max completely stole the show more than once. I ended up enjoying this book even more than I expected because I’m usually not the biggest fan of the single dad trope. Somehow Liz Tomforde made it feel so natural and heartwarming that it completely pulled at my heartstrings. Was Miller a little frustrating at times with her decision to leave? Absolutely. But without those emotional conflicts, the story wouldn’t have had the same impact, so I can definitely forgive it. I also loved seeing all the familiar faces from the previous books and getting little glimpses into how their stories are continuing. It’s one of my favorite things about this series because it makes the world feel so connected. Overall, I actually preferred Caught Up over the first book, although The Right Move with Indy and Ryan still holds the top spot in my heart. If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and heartwarming romance with incredible chemistry, adorable family moments, and characters that will make you smile from beginning to end, I can definitely recommend this one.
Ich bin hin und weg😍
“This is what I’m good at!” “Oh, you’re fucking brilliant at it but you know what’s better than being the best at something you don’t love? Being mediocre at something you do [love].” Oha, okay. I feel called out, ist in Ordnung.
