Rezension von feder_magieDas Weltenkonstrukt ist unheimlich komplex und man muss sich wirklich sehr viel merken. Akhimar ist ein spannendes Land, in dem wir mehrere Völker finden: Menschen, Fey, Blutsvettern und Khimaer. Der Lesende erhält wirklich umfassende Informationen über die Welt und die verschiedenen Völker, was am Anfang erst einmal sehr überfordert. Man muss unheimlich genau lesen, was uns auch alle dazu brachte, Dinge zu hinterfragen. Das Worldbuilding ist sehr detailliert und nimmt einen großen Raum ein. Die Geschichte entwickelt sich magisch weiter und Protagonistin Eva wird so richtig auf die Probe gestellt. Die Autorin weiß es, die Geschichte in unerwartete Richtungen zu lenken, wobei ich teilweise auch schon eine leichte Ahnung hatte, allerdings kam ich da eher auf Grund einer anderen Diskussion drauf (nicht war Michelle?). Man muss durch die ersten Seiten durch, die mir ab und zu recht schwer fielen, aber dann konnte mich das Buch doch noch sehr für sich einnehmen. Fantasytechnisch wirklich toller Roman und ich glaube, dass die Folgebände mehr in die Tiefe geben werden und das hier nur ein Vorgeschmack auf das ist, was uns da noch erwartet. Die angepriesene Romantik bleibt hier meiner Meinung nach noch auf der Strecke, aber das finde ich hier gar nicht schlimm, weil ich nach der ersten Hälfte auch gar nicht mehr die Erwartung hatte, mit Schnulz überschüttet zu werden. Das kommt wahrscheinlich dann auch alles in den Folgebänden. Wir werden die Reihe auf jeden Fall weiterverfolgen und ich bin gespannt, was uns noch in Akhimar erwarten wird.
Rezension von SteffiSuper spannend Die Story dieses Buches kann einen von Anfang an begeistern und fesselt mit einer außergewöhnlichen Idee, vielen neuen fantastischen Elementen, Emotionen und interessanten Verzweigungen. Gegen Anfang sind die Welt und die vielen Einzelheiten noch eher kompliziert. Und auch später kommen teilweise kompliziertere Aspekte und kleinere zum Teil „undurchsichtige“ Handlungen vor, die das ganze sehr spannenden halten, aber teilweise auch etwas „unnötig/unlogisch verkompliziert“ wirken können. Dennoch ist die Geschichte an sich auf alle Fälle empfehlens- und absolut lesenswert. Denn die Story ist abwechslungsreich, interessant und cool. Der Schreibstil ist sehr mitreißend und lässt den Leser das Buch fließend durchlesen. Und auch die Charaktere können mit Eigenarten, Verhaltensweisen und Backround-Stories überzeugen und werden toll beschrieben. Alles in allem eine sehr spannende und gute Fantasy-Geschichte mit neuen Ideen und tollen Charakteren, die eine klare Empfehlung verdient.
