#1 "NEW YORK TIMES" BESTSELLER A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE: BOOK FIVE In the aftermath of a colossal battle, Daenerys Targaryen rules with her three dragons as queen of a city built on dust and death. But Daenerys has thousands of enemies, and many have set out to find her. Fleeing from Westeros with a price on his head, Tyrion Lannister, too, is making his way east--with new allies who may not be the ragtag band they seem. And in the frozen north, Jon Snow confronts creatures from beyond the Wall of ice and stone, and powerful foes from within the Night's Watch. In a time of rising restlessness, the tides of destiny and politics lead a grand cast of outlaws and priests, soldiers and skinchangers, nobles and slaves, to the greatest dance of all. Jose Manuel Lopez ReyesRezension von Jose Manuel Lopez Reyes

I now understand why this series is unfinished. Books 1-3 are veritable masterpieces; sadly, book 4 is a big step down, and book 5 gets better, but nowhere near the quality of books 1-3. If I were George R.R. Martin, I’d also be terrified about releasing books 6 and 7. Books 4 and 5 should have been just one 1,000-page book, trimming a lot of unnecessary fat, and I think the series could be masterfully finished with just one more final book. However, it could be the biggest letdown of the century instead. Sadly (or gladly?), we’ll likely never find out.
